ANDRE-KNIFE WATER MARK.JPG
Hi, my name’s Tim Mitchell.  I’d like to welcome you to Alpha Omega Knives, a small handmade knife company tucked into the hills of the picturesque Yarra Ranges of Victoria.  I‘ve been making knives since 1998 using only the best steels and natural handle materials.  Recently I have started to make my own steel after the old processes (crucible patterned steel) and Persian Damascus. What I call crucible patterned steel has a very beautiful dendritic (fern-like) pattern of carbides which when forged looks similar to and is often confused with Persian wootz.

All the knives which I make are my own patterns and are designed to be comfortable to use, functional for their particular task and beautiful to look at.

If you are interested in me making something for you or have questions about my knives feel free to contact me.

Often people ask me “Alpha Omega” what does it mean?  Many knife makers put their initials on their knives so that people will know who created the knife.  When people look at my knives I want them to think of the creator of all things.  Jesus said,”Behold I come quickly and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.  I am Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end, the first and the last.” (Rev 22:12)  I want people to know that no matter how lost or hopeless they feel, no matter how deep the darkness that surrounds them; Jesus is ready to reach down, heal them and save them.
THE BUSHMAN’S MATE
The Bushman’s mate is a general purpose outdoor knife that is balanced and it’s fit in the hand makes it a pleasure to use.  The fine tip and gentle curve of the blade work just as well for whittling as for skinning small game.  It is provided with a lanyard hole so when you are roaming about in the bush you won’t have to worry about losing it.
(Overall length 6.5 inches - 3.5 inch blade)

THE BUSHMAN
The Bushman is a hunting knife whose 6.5 inch blade is not awkward to use but is sufficient for all your large game needs.  It features a depression in the handle to comfortably secure your index finger and ensure complete control of the knife during use. It is provided with a lanyard hole so when you are roaming about in the bush you won’t have to worry about losing it.

THE SKINNER
The Skinner has been designed as an all rounder.  It has an ideal curve to the blade for skinning out small and large game,  however as the tip is located at the center line of the handle, you still have absolute control for fine work. The blade is also narrow enough for general use, and like all of my outdoor knives it incorporates a lanyard hole.
(Overall length 7.75 inches - 3.5 inch blade)
